Recommended Condensing Oil Boiler

I think our old one has come to the end of its life so it's time to replace with a condensing system.

I notice that the Grant Vortex range tops the efficiency tables - are they a good buy, or are there other ranges/models that the professionals would recommend?

I bought a Grant Vortex for the same reason, unfortuatly I cant help you much on how good it is as its only been switched on for 2 weeks!

Anything by Worcester Bosch. Their service, back up, warranty and parts availability are second to none. It doesn't matter how good the unit is, it will break down at some point. You need something easy and inexpensive to repair......

I think you will need an 'OFTEC' engineer to fit an oil boiler instead of a 'corgi' one, could be wrong though!?

No, definately not. I have had only one unreasonably early breakdown on oil in the last 2 years and it was a Worcester pressure vessel, which took over a week to come. I fitted a generic one temporarily and left it on the floor infront of the boiler with the front door off.
