Commision on offer \ apartment developments?

Hi All,

I'm looking into the possibility of swapping my villa in Spain + cash for a number of apartments, to a uk developer. The villa is currently in construction, and will be ready 4Q 2009, though any deal could be done.

So heres the deal:

If you can find a developer who would be prepared to take on a deal (€2.5m villa plus cash up to maybe €4 - 5m), then I'd be over the moon to hand over a spotters cheque.

How much would the spotters fee be? I have absolutely no idea. What does the PH massive think is reasonable?

I think if anyone can currently find a property developer in the UK with cash.. or an interest in Spanish property.. they deserve a spotters fee..

are there any unfinished properties in Spain currently worth 2.5+ million euro's..

last I heard some top high end assets i.e 4m+ original selling price... was failing at auction at 800...

So you are looking for property in the UK, ie UK apartments in exchange for your Spanish place? Or Spanish appts built by UK developer?

Either solution would be fine. If I had a preference, it would be apartments in the UK, if only because the UK traditionally has a more diverse lending market, with more products to choose from (current Global Financial Crisis aside).

In saying that, if you know of apartments in Spain (or anywhere else for that matter where a deal could be done), then I'm happy to haggle.

ETA: my place is in the Montemayor golf resort, near Benahavis, just outside Marbella.
