Shower help.

As the title says,

My power shower at home seems to be lacking power.

The cold water supply is still giving pressure, but the shower trickles..its better to piss in the air really..

Any ideas, quick fix??????? as I dont really want to buy another and then retile the bloody bathroom again..

when you say 'power shower' do you mean an electric shower supplied by cold water? If so I suspect the problem is limescale build up in the heater circuit. You could install a water softener to the cold water system (not cheap) but it would eventually remove the existing limescale if that is what is causing the problem.

What set-up is it exactly?
Shower in wall, powered by pump somewhere??
Or shower in box on wall with integral pump?

Llok up the make and model on the internet. there might be a filter in it somewhere that you can remove and clean. There was in mine.

Having said that they do run slower when the water is cold in winter.

Then it's not a power shower.
As Steve says above, it's an electric shower and it's probably scaled up if you live in a hard-water area. It may be cleanable, check the instructions. Alternatively if you can get it very hot by 'juggling' the control so that it keeps heating but doesn't shut down too quickly you can crack the scale off and them blast it out by turning it to cold with the showerhead off.
It may just be the head scaled up. Soak in vinegar or a mild descaler. Strip it apart first if you can.

Yep. Because the idiot brigade on here would jump in with how your missus is too fat/too thin, too busty/too flat chested, too feminine/too boyish rather than simply beng concerned that she is having difficulties with the shower.

Exactly, they wouldnt care that she is unable to remove the soap from her pert 36dd's, or that her 34inch legs are not being drenched properly.

It amazes me how they get side tracked onto purely physical appearance, when im trying to get my shower to work.
