Blackberry Storm, better than an iphone?

I ask this because I'm now on my third iphone, the first one lost touch sensitivity to the lower half of the screen for no apparent reason and was changed under warranty.

The second one fell from a height of around 1 foot and gave up the ghost, again they just gave me a new one under warranty.

So, I'm onto handset number 3 and WHEN, not if, iphone number 3 breaks I will most likely be out of my 1 year warranty.

Should I sack it in and get myself a Blackberry Storm?

Have a look at the Nokia E71.

A grown up phone. Best phone we've, sorry Nokia have made for ages.

I have had 4 Nokia E71/E71E's and they have all failed. I was on my 2nd Blackberry in 3 months, the first having dropped calls whenever a calendar appointment popped up and I am now on an i-phone.....which I am regretting. I would say the Blackberry is the best bet for business if you have to do a lot of email. The keyboard and battery life on the i-phone are crap.

Vodafone warrant their phones for the duration of your contract, might be worth checking if 02 do the same.

Typing on the Storm is crap, same as iPhone. If you use a BlackBerry on a BES, and do a lot of email, then the Bold aces it.

It's unlocked, I actually use it on the vodafone network and the warranty is with Apple, not O2.

New blackberry 8890 out v soon which has the new OS.... either that or the bold are your best bets at the moment.
Touch screen on the storm isn't so hot.

I find the Storm is fine. Touchscreen works well, takes getting used to with normal size fingers. Prefer the touch and click to the iphone.
Personally i do think it is better than the iphone but thats just my 2p worth.
Mine gets hammered most days with internet and calls, charge it each night.
Good bit of kit.

other than that, yeah they are alright, just wish the battery would last a bit longer, I used to charge my 8800 up once every 10 days, going from that to the storm was a bit of a battery charging chore

Does the Storm actually support BES yet? Otherwise it's entirely useless for Enterprise.

I've got the HTC Touch HD, and so far am very impressed. Much higher res screen than the iphone, and the new HTC interface makes win mobile easy to use without the stylus. Works fine for push email with exchange, and has GPS/wifi etc all built in.

Well I have had an iPhone since Sunday and it is going back tomorrow, absolute POS as far as I am concerned. Getting a Blackberry Bold to replace it. The iPhone is a fashion statement and not suitable for business use.
