Moneybookers - Scam?

Just had an email from 'moneybookers ltd', as follows:

Dear Member,

We regret to inform you that unauthorized access has taken place on your Moneybookers account.

As a result of this we will need you to confirm that you are the rightful owner by clicking here
and verifying, if you fail to do so we have no other option to permanently lock your account and withdraw all funds.

we send all apologies for the inconvenience,

Regards, Moneybookers security team.

Now, whenever I buy anything online, which I have a couple of times recently, I use Paypal. I certainly have no recollection of ever becoming a member of moneybookers....

Your thoughts, scam, or legitimate?

I have a rule of thumb.

If I get an mail from a company i have not heard of about a confirmation then i assume it is spam.

It's a scam, ignore it.

Very much my thoughts, got throw by the google search I did that made it seem very legit.

First time I've ever considered replying to such a thing....
