Recommend Me a 26 Incher for the Mrs!

LCD Tv that is.. budget around £3-350 sheets. Been looking at a Panasonic in Richer sounds for £349. I seem to remember there was a chap on here sold TVs but couldn't remember who.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Sainsbury's yesterday had a 32 Sony Bravia for 349.99 or a 26 for 249.99 in my local store

Spot on, go for the Panny with that budget, you won't be disappointed. We have the TX26LXD70 (I think) and it's superb, can't fault it.

PITA to stick the thing on the wall, but that's another story.

Just been having a quick Google, i'd check which model Sony it is before you jump in as i'm not sure they're as much a bargain as I originally thought. It appears they make a U series which is made in turkey and branded as a Sony but is not as good as the current L (bottom of the range going up to S, then V, then W, Ex being the top)

But for ladies try tracking down a Samsung but in white. They seem to appreciate the 'prettyness'

Do NOT buy into the Samdung trap!
Either go with the Panasonic, or consider the lesser thought of JVC or Toshiba, in that order.

Looking like it's the Panasonic.. Local Richer sounds will have one in for me to look at/buy on Friday. Unless any of the av guys on here can supply one for similar money?

It's that one, although having just checked Richer sounds again, the price seems to have jumped to £369

Update for anyone that's interested, have just ordered a Panasonic TX-26LXD8 for £342 from Tesco. Couldn't get close to that price anywhere else.

Sonys at Sainsbury turned out to be the 'U' models so wasn't keen on those.
