So, say this economic downturn brings about the next great global war, where's your money.

I'm going with Canada v. Russia over the arctic.

You?

eta: Yes, the title should read "Pick a war, any war!"

"When Canada is dead and gone, there'll be no more Celine Dion" (sounds of cheering)

My vote for the next great global war would be The Isle of Man vs. The Republic of Rolf Harris, a trademark dispute over the three-legged emblem turns sour, Rolf imposes a Total Exclusion Zone around Manx territory, a Royal Navy missile sub is sunk by mistake and the whole thing goes instant sunshine all round.

My money's on India V Pakstan with tactical nukes and the economic downturn just an excuse.
Other than that Europe V Russia when Putin turns off the gas.

One of the comedians on "Live at the Apollo" said something like: "Income tax was introduced to fund a war against the French. Since we still have to pay income tax, how about it then?"

Economic downturn? That's perhaps the one thing that will stop them going to war. Pakistan simply cannot afford it.

Where've you been the last few weeks?

Israel v the rest of the Arab nations would be quite interesting, especially if Iran does have nuclear capabilities.

Let me know when you plan to invade, i am prepared to go halves on the ferry ticket.

May as well go in some comfort, i dont expect much in the way of opposition.
They put up more of a fight about not having a bloody McDonalds than when the Nazis arrived
