Filter Kettles - Recommendations

Having moved into a cottage a little over 6 months ago, the current kettle is not coping well with the very hard water & I'm pretty sure it's about to give give up the ghost.

I've been looking at the available filter kettles but I'm not sure which one to get. A number of them seem to have reliability issues.

I'm hoping that some of the great and good of PH can help with some recommendations or advise.

Get a "normal" kettle and a filter jug, or install a filter tap.

Why not? At least then you could come on PH and genuinely state that something has "boiled your piss"...

We used to have a filter jug and normal kettle.

Got rid of them both when we had the new kitchen put in and got one of these.

Ditto, and the lovely blue glow means you don't need to switch a light on when you go to the kitchen in the dark!

yep - we've got one of those - can't fault it except the way it keeps changing colour is a bit unnecessary
