I know that it's all gone a bit tits up but I also firmly believe that it's being made worse by everyone banging on about it at every given opportunity. So what if Joe Bloggs gas bill goes up by 20%, what is that in real money, an extra 300 pounds per year? ie less than a pound per day? Whoopyfkingdoo! Drink half a pint less then Bananas, aye, gone up 30p a bunch last week they have, well pardon me whilst I just go and drill my own eyeballs out

It's not that long ago that you'd have to pay 20 quid to call your great aunt Eva Prawn in her nest for ten minutes, nowadays people moan about a 15 quid flat rate phonebill FFS

I think what I'm trying to actually say is that it's all part of life's rich tapestry, so FFS, can we all just please, get on with it?

I have to agree with you.

If people stopped getting so wound up about it, then perhaps things wouldn't be so bad.

And by people, I don't mean the (majority) PH lot who actually understand whats going on, I mean the whinging Daily Mail <70 IQ brigade who bleat on and on and on and on...

Totally agree.

I'm of the opinion that if more people thought more positively about things it would help immensely.

Me too! Only debt is the 50% mortgage we have on our €148k houses - paid all debts when we moved ( we always has credit when we knew if the worst happens, we could pay it back, and we decided to pay off all debt when we moved, as we didn't know how we'd fare once we moved - better safe than sorry..) and living quite happily within our means - while I still have a job that is......
