Took my Focus in this morning for a service and its first MOT. Had booked weeks previously for a courtesy car. I turn up and I am told " the last guy with the courtesy car hasn't come back yet and wont be back for a couple of hours" It ended up in either you can:
1.Wait a couple of hours
2.Get a hire car
3.Take the garage's van.
I choose the van, what a f*kkin blast. I learned to drive in Transits; however, this was in car parks. On the road, what a lot of fun. Took it to work (well one of my works) then took it to uni; after picking up a friend, who asked of course "why are you in a van?".
Overall the Transit Connect is very easy to drive and because it was empty actually fairly fast.
Overall I'm glad my Focus is back. Anyway that was an interesting thing that happened to me today.

The connect isn't a proper van. It's the replacement for the old Escort van in the range.... so probably not a lot bigger than your Focus.
IIRC it's based on the Focus. It certainly uses the same running gear, although it has leaf springs rather than the blade suspension at the back.
