Extension shafts for amp knobs

Hmm.
They made them in 1955 if that's any help:

Failing that, what about a DIY solution with an extra length of rod, sleeve and glue?

All you need is a slim tube and a couple of grub screws, one at either end - like a metal drinking straw. Bear in mind that the shaft should be secured at each end - the longer the shaft, the more torque you can apply to the pot, and the more damage you can do.
BTW which kits are they? I have two Velleman amps and they're very nice

I don't want the pots too far from the chassis and need to extend the shaft by 3 ish inches.
It is a CLASS A 6V6 HEAD. VALVE TUBE AMPLIFIER
True "CLASS A" Point to Point Symphony 6V6 Single ended Guitar Amplifier.
1 x 6X5(EZ35) Rectifier, 2 x 6SL7(Fender Tweed)Drivers, 1 x 6V6GT output Valve, chassis and pine head.
This amp has one channel with Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass controls and a choke.
