Animal Crossing!

On television recently they've been advertising Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Wii a lot, this strikes me as the single most dull computer game I have ever come across!

Am I missing something?

It looks horrifically tedious to me, but I'm not one of the pre-teen girls it is probably aimed at. So who knows...

I explained the concept to my 8 and 11 year old sisters and they both liked the sound of it. Unfortunately me and our brother have already bought Harvest Moon for the Wii as a joint Christmas present, but the 8 year old turns 9 in January so it's on the "possible birthday present" list.

Apparantly it also tunes itself in to the internal clock of your Wii so you play it in a kind of "real time", it's day light in the game when it's day light when you're playing, and night if you're playing it in the evening. Personally that would drive me up the wall but that only adds to the "coolness", apparently.
