right then, does anyone here know how to disable the camera sound on a sony erikson c902 as all the tones do my head in

Dont know about that particular model, but on the older ones the only way was to have it on silent

Open camera > tools > properties > shutter sounds > off

you would think silent would be silent, but its not.
and benni that doesnt work, there are only 4 sound options, no off option.

any other ideas??

i have the 902 titanium, not the 905 just incase some of you may have gotten confused

That is strange, I have an "off" option , and just tested it, works OK.
Time to hit the specific forums here or elsewhere, methinks.

Likewise, it's listed beneath Shutter Sounds 1 to 4?

what network are you with, apparently o2 handsets have shuttersound off disabled!!!

vodafone germany, C902 vodafone branding
O/T : My phone hangs up 90% of the time
when I try to get to the vodafone live! page,
thought of getting an internet flatrate,
but better not with that phone, I guess.

A lot of phones you can't disable it - chiefly to prevent pics being taken surreptitiously!

Vodafone. Standard issue C902 (it's had the software updates and I can't be certain that it wasn't in this, though I suspect it's unlikely as my previous SE phones all had the 'off' option as well).

Mobile phones in many parts of Asia have the shutter sound forced to stay on to prevent pervert-pics.
