BA First - Tips?

Having only ever travelled at the back of the plane, we're fortunate enough to be travelling First with BA next year (lots of BA miles + 1/2 price miles sale = opportunity not to be missed!).
So, anyone got any tips so we can really make the most of the experience (it's not likely to ever happen again!). It's the mrs, 10 year old son and me.....if it makes a difference..

All you need to know!
Assuming that you're going from T5 don't be put off by the gruff welcome at the F check-in area. The BAA staff are rubbish. Make sure you use the South Security line (near F check-in) and then turn immediately right to enter the CCR through the 'secret' door. This saves you making the BAA mandated track through the shops to get to the lounge area.

I always go early to really enjoy the free booze in the lounge.
On the plane drink Champagne all the way, watch the films, take loads of car mags (you have a wide window sill to keep them on) and enjoy.
Oh and...make out you can't work the bed and get a lovely lady flight attendant to straddle you and show you how to work it (that's what she did to me last time)!
Basically...enjoy every part of the wonderful experience

Remember that first class does not just apply to the flight itself - make sure you visit the departure lounges - the business class ones are rather nice when you want to escape the duty free shops and I am guessing the first class ones (if different) can only be better - the food, drink and TV makes the wait much more bearable. Is is possibly worth turning up extra early so you can have breakfast/lunch/dinner (not all three obviously unless you want a really long wait!), but don't know how bored a 10 year old would get!

What's equally brilliant is you get all the other nuggets posting on in a congratulatory manner to give you "tips", when in reality it's just a "We all fly First w

Only very large airports have a 1st and business lounge, I doubt Barbados does, Heathrow certainly does, make sure you get your free meal in Heathrow!Enjoy it....

As has already been said use the 1st check-in, not the business class.
erm, cant think of a lot else to be honest, its the bigger seat, shorter queues, small cabin you're paying for really. Unless they have added an in-flight nosh-off since I last flew with them!

If you are flying overnight (not sure when the Barbados flight is).
Once the seatbelt signs are off, get up, go to the warderobe at the front, pick out a coat hanger. Take it and your pyjamas to one of the many bathrooms, change into your pyjamas, put your clothes on the coat hanger, put the coat hanger back in the warderobe at the front. You can probably get it done before take off if you're on the plane early enough and want to.

Not sure about Gatwick, at some aiports you can eat dinner first, then get some proper sleep on the plane without waiting for food. This is more for hardcore business people though, for holidays I would enjoy the meal with plenty of wine and a good video.
