Christmas shopping - who's started theirs?

Did all mine online in bits and bobs and the last of it has arrived today. Did a quick dash into town on Saturday morning to get the last little bits and bobs and will be sitting down tonight to wrap it. Then its ready to start distributing it to various people as well as having time to celebrate my niece's birthday tomorrow!
My parent's presents are always the hardest but that was sorted this year back in September when a photographer friend of me and the OH did some professional shots for us. We've paid him for framed copies of the best shots for the parents which I'm sure they will be chuffed with and it gave us an excuse to pop over to the Cotswolds again the other week to pick them up and have lunch with friends.

Christmas Eve is reserved for shopping. Always has been and always will be.
The problem I have is that if I go any earlier I undoubtedly get hacked off fighting the crowds and jack it in having only bought about 10% of what I needed to. This leaves me the with the horrifying inevitability of having to have another go another day.
Christmas Eve leaves me no choice but to get it done in one painfully soul destroying outting.

king wrong was I. The town centre was like some kind of Zombie apocalypse, with the undead wandering aimlessly, staring vacantly at the shop windows, mouths open.
Then I ventured to the Supermarket, I have honestly never seen so many people in it (one of sainsburys top five trading stores) you could barely move for trollies, prams, fat bds in those lazy mobiles. This was at 3.45 in the afternoon.
I am off to the pub to recover by sinking a few pints of beer.
