Right, we've got a (very) American colleaugue in our office. He's a hell of a nice guy, just a bit Texan which I suppose he can't help... hehe

A Dutch Engineering Manager from another department came through to see him about doing some work for him on a new project which had the rather unfortunate acronym of NADS.

Cue Texan guy: "Mweh heh heh. Does that mean the same here as it does back home?"

Dutch guy: "I beg your pardon?"

Tex: "Heh heh, nads!"

Cloggy: "I'm sorry?"

Tex: "You know, Nads! Gonads"

Cloggy: "I don't know what that means"

Tex, digging himself in further: "You know, Balls, bks, Testicles, Nuts". Tex points at his groin.

Cloggy: "Oh. What are your qualifications?"

Tex: "Go Project Nads! Go Nads! Heh heh heh, NADS!"

Cloggy gets up and leaves, not happy.

hehe We've been laughing for days about it.

Seriously though, who comes up with these crap acronyms?!

Big company wide e-mail, sent from a (very nice, and good English speaking) colleague in north east france.

We're implementing globally new software....before we install it on each site he wanted to investigate each site's capability to accept the new software.

What did he call this?

An American project manager who worked for me called a project "PIPI", pronounced "pee-pee". Even after we explained it she still didn't get it.

Well there is a City University of New York.

Adverts for CUNY on the subway, (almost, but not quite!)
