Ladies: How important is it that a man smells good anyway ?

Following on from the aftershave thread, a question.

Assuming good standards of hygiene and that the guy is not the web-fingered, illegitimate son of a brother and sister couple from Norfolk, is it preferable for a man to smell of:

a) Nothing.

b) Himself. But not in a B.O sort of way.

c) Hugo for Men or some other random , quality branded smellies.

In other words, are the Lynx adverts completely wrong and men are mugs for falling for it ?

Or does a fine smelling man really catch your attention?

I ask only in the interests of research and the apparent news that I have a huge number of Boots gift vouchers for Christmas ...

Going out to dinner I like the smell of aftershave and I have my preferences but just together or in bed then I prefer the natural smell by far.

Sometimes a man's own body smell is enough and the smell of the washing powder on his clothes is enough!

Aftershave is nice if it's not too overpowering. usually men don't wear enough of it! There's subtle and there's non-existent.

What about we women? Do men like us with or without?

There was another advert the other day, cant remember what it was advertising. It had some bird inside a shop in the window, and some guy walking down the street, and the girl follows him along the glass. Then some cheesy line about how girls like such and such product.

It's the worse kind of advertising. You really can't buff a turd.

There are limits though. To much perfume and its a nightmare. And some ladies do seem to think the right answer is pour the stuff over not spray or dab a little.
