Merry Christmas + Happy 2009 Everyone!
Discussion
Merry Christmas everyone - hope you have a nice relaxing break; it's been a hell of a year for everyone.
Don't dispare for 2009, we've been through worse (think post-war mess). I see it that the down turn has revealed the fraudsters, weeded out some uncompetitive businesses and brought the value of things down to a reasonable level again, houses, petrol, et al.
I for one, am looking forward to 2009, and the challenges and rewards it will bring, and wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Im confused, you dont seem to be ranting, moaning about a lost love, a future lust or foreigners !!
What is the point of your post !?
Just want to spread the love What is the point of your post !?

A positive attitude goes a long way to having a successful year - it's easy to fall into the doom and gloom brigade. Let's just say that a few recent events in my life have helped me realise that we come into this world with nothing, we leave with nothing. Don't ruin the bit in the middle!
Thank you, and the same to you
Although our Xmas will be slightly less fun, due to our English food hamper we ordered from the UK to Italy was sent back to the UK, due to snow, and I won’t be able to re-sample England’s finest stodge ‘till the New Year
Sometimes, no matter how nice the local food is, I NEED high cholesterol, heart attack inducing pork pies and sausage rolls.....

Indeed, a real shame that! Are you staying in Italy over the festive period?

This is the first year in the last 20 years where I have actually looked forward to Christmas. Helps that it's my daughters first Chritsmas
Congrats! Yes, Christmas will be fun again when I have a few little ones running around

However in a few years the present expectation will sharply rise... resulting in costly trips to Toys'r'Us etc.

All the best.
