Work today WTF..!!

IS anyone else sat at work now wondering why we are here for half a day. What is the point of opening no one is intending to do anything. To top this the boss has come in to make sure no one leaves early. I have got up normal early morning 40 minute drive to work to do what.. Bugger all. Could of put my time to much better use today the pubs open at 12:00..!!

In fairness, Christmas Eve is a working day just like yesterday and just like the day before.

If you don't want to work, take off a day's holiday, however anything else over and above that is your boss being kind. Half a day? That's your boss giving you 25 1/2 days holiday per year, not 25.

Look upon it as a gift

I only worked a xmas eve once and it was a waste of time, everyone was just sitting round playing cards, including the managers and directors! The following year they just shut the office on the 23rd.

It's a 'normal' day here today.

Well except that there are free sausage or bacon rolls and champagne available to everyone in the canteen.

So I've had my sausage roll, a glass of fresh orange juice... and now I'm waiting for the nod that it's ok to slope out... I expect about 12.00 ish!!!

Rejoice I'm at work.

Got my final report out for the year yesterday and have nothing else to do until clients return in the new year and send me info.

The receptionist has phoned in sick today so I'm basically an over qualified receptionist for the day.... lovely.

Finished all my work yesterday, but were only here till 12 today.

P.S. I hate the busybodies trying to fill the last day by asking you pointless questions, sit down and STFU!

On the upside though only 2 and a half hours to go!!

I am at work today, i as you are, am posting on PH and not working. I dont have a single window open other than PH on my PC. Im not even going to bother reading a single email or consider the slightest thing work related.

I am here simply on the basis of a principle, a principle that adds nothing to anything. If i was not here the project or company would not change a single jot.

I completel all my work and my colleagues last friday as he's been off ill.
So since friday lunchtime i've been doing nothing!
We finish at 12, then i'm going to get mashed!
We're all sat here doing nothing.
It's the most pointless work day of the year!

I used up all my holiday this year on my honeymoon so I'm in work on Christmas even for the first time ever

Luckily I have completed the little project I was doing yesterday and today I just need to make sure anyone calling in for support gets answered. Come noon I'm off for a round of golf. Nice.
