Redundancy announced mid-October.

Redundancy package negotiated and paid last Friday, but officially not leaving until the end of Feb.

New job offer received in the post this morning - 10% pay rise, too smile

Downside: Company car is a Prius.

Thanks.

The upside is that company car tax on a Pious is next to nothing, so I can't complain too much.

Do you have a lot of business mileage to do in it?

Congrats on job biggrin

Just think how much you can rag the st out of the Pious tho - you'll feel like you're contributing to it's destruction, which can only be a positive PH experience biggrin

p.s. you have to track the Pious, just for fun!

Congrats!

Maybe you should point out to your new employer that a BMW 520D SE is cheaper to lease (lower depreciation), cheaper to service, doesn't have massive production and disposal emmissions associated with HD batteries, uses less fuel and is more comfortable so you'll arrive at destinations more refreshed...

lol, congrats mate.

You can have fun playing with the dinky little display that shows the power routing, and setting the drive all electric then sneaking up on old people...

Naa, you're all seeing this the wrong way.

If he has a Pious as a CC, he now has the moral right to go and get a 7litre Corvette or similar, and do donuts everywhere killing puppies in his wake....

edit: Congrats on the job!

Think of the Prious as an opportunity. My dad was a leftie in the 1960's he knew someone who, of a similar persuasion, bought big American car and parked it anti-socially to stir up anti-American feeling.
