Why oh why oh why oh why?
I'm fed up with them. Why do we have to have a few minutes of next week's episode at the end of this week's? Especially, as the first five minutes of this week's was repeating last week's!
And it's not just the American TV shows/dramas either. On the recent series of Spooks, for example, the trailers got so long and detailed, you could pretty much tell exactly what was going to happen. I find myself grabbing for the remote control to quickly change the channel at the end of a programme, just to avoid the trailer for the next episode.
And then today, on every news bulletin on Radio 4, they've been telling the nation what the Queen is going to say in her speech tomorrow. Why? It's not that I'm particularly patriotic or even likely to tune in and watch, but why tell us today what someone is going to say tomorrow?
Why? Why? Why?
Why can't things just happen when they happen?

The commercial channels are free which means we have to tolerate 25% adverts.
It's a bugger when you have to pay a licence fee and still end up with 25% adverts.
I'm (slightly) more tolerant of the trailers run during commercial breaks as I can be doing something else rather than watch them; it's just the ones immediately at the end of the programme which really bug me. I don't want to know what's going to happen next; I want to watch the next programme in its entirety without a 'heads-up'.The commercial channels are free which means we have to tolerate 25% adverts.

And there's another thing - two seconds after the credits start rolling the music fades down and the presenter starts chattering away about the next programme, totally ruining the atmosphere.
