I thought the last bond was too much like Bourne anyway. In the long run though, it's Bond all the way.

Book wise Bourne wins every time.

Film wise........hard to choose between them both really.

I think they have different appeal.

I don't think many people want to "be" Bourne but everyone ones wants to be Bond with the lifestyle that goes with it. A different fantasy if you like.

However, I have preferred the Bournes as movies (they're brilliant) but then again they came out during the years of the worst Bond ever (Brosnan) and the weakest Bond movies (Brosnan ones).

Bond producers have noticed this, that's why the later Bond (Craig) movies have stepped up and, even to a certain extent, copied many aspects of the Bourne movies (esp the fight scenes).

Oh, Bourne is a lot harder and would win any fight between the two biggrin

The bourne series were great, the last one being a VERY good action flick.

You think? I agree with the later ones but Goldeneye was one of the best Bond films they've done!

I'm possibly being over harsh maybe, Brosnan is easily the worst Bond though. Goldeneye was OK but certainly better than the later Brosnan ones.

I thought the new Bond was Bourne?

Character wise they're pretty similar these days tortured souls, hard as nails etc.

I'd have to cast a vote for the NEW Bond though. Because he's British and he doesn't look like he's missing a chromosome unlike Matt Damon.

David Webb!! I love the books, But i think film bourne beats film Bond from what ive seen. Though Casino Royal was a step in the right direction for Bond, Yet to see QoS.
