I either like the original 1938 version with Reginald Owen, the 1951 offering with Alastair Sim, or George C. Scott's from the 80s. As much as I like Patrick Stewart, his interpretation grates my teeth.

In all seriousness, the Muppets version stands up very well, even to classics such as the 1951 version which has just been on.
