I'm having to watch this with the in-laws instead of top gear America. It wouldn't be too bad apart from them laughing well after the one liners so it's difficult to hear the next line and then there's the repeat of the line that made them laugh and the explanation of the ones that didn't...

I think it's the fact it's a similar joke on repeat so gets a bit samey, still funny tho, the turkey in the bath while Dave was shaving was hilarious!

It is absolute fking ste! I loved the Royle Family and it's subtle well observed humour - this is just a series of gags and ridiculously scenarios.

Thought I had set the sky+ to record this & top gear whilst out at my parents.

Recorded Top Gear but not Royle family which mrs2100 likes.

Trying to download it using iplayer, hopefully can get it to play on tv using xbox.

I got bored after the first ten minutes and switched over, the turkey thing bored me after the first gag, it was a bit like the car poster on your bedroom wall as a kid, it's never a good as you remembered it to be!

pretty funny, but watched royle family instead! found it pretty funny I have to say, if a little stupid

The problem with the Royle family is the characters became caricatures of themselves before the end of the second series, with Dave becoming incredibly thick and Denise incredibly selfish. The subtle humour and 'real life' element seemed to completely disappear. A big shame as for a while it was absolute genius.
