Can anyone on here make picture frames? How much?
Discussion
I've been looking for frames for some pictures of mine to hang in th newly decorated office, but I'm either having trouble finding the size I need or having trouble finding them at a good enough price to make it worthwhile...you know, I'm not flush and money is a tad tight at the moment.
I was wondering if anyone on here is capable and willing to make frames of various sizes and if so, how much would they cost?
Email through profile if you prefer
TIA

I've had a few made to measure frames from a guy in Otley, incredibly reasonable price, about 1/3 of that quoted by one of the framing shops in Harrogate. The only downside is that you have to collect them as he doesn't deliver unless it is a bulk order. If the location isn't an issue I can let you have his details after the weekend.
Reminds me, I saw a very nice looking gilt picture frame in a posh shop a few weeks ago, and to all intents and purposes it was some decking board, complete with grip grooves, cut and glued, then covered in gold leaf. it was not a work of art, and a little rough round the edges, but I'm going to have a go at making one myself when I get home next year.

The mrs wants a big mirror on the front room chimney breast, so I reckon it's gonna have a decking frame.

I'm looking for a price on dark wood (mahogany) frames, around A3, A2, 16x20 and 20x30 if you could please sir

I trust you want mahogany effect rather than actual (big bucks scotty) do you want to allow for any mounts and if so what colour?
gis a bell in a bit...after 7 and let me know the exact size of the prints....then let the cookster wave his 'wand'
