Horrible.
I hate all kinds of mass hysteria, from girls crying at pop concerts to stampedes and crowds being crushed.
If you chain together computers, you'll get one entity that is more powerful than the individuals, but with people, the more you get together, the lower the intelligence drops.
It's made especially worse as you know all those women who ran in at the start will look at 6-7 things, wander off, look at something else, try on 4 other items, then throw them in a heap in the changing room, return to the original items to see half have been bought, buy what's left, then return all but one items of clothing next weekend.

king Dead.I dropped my daughter off today and on the way back homw we passed a retail park, wifey wants a new TV so we ventured in. I was expecting a scrum of chav like proportions but it was pretty quiet, normal day stuff, funny thing was everyone who had grabbed a bargain had Matsui or Samsung stuff or other tat you would not look twice at. Everything with a good name or reputation was non discounted.
Would these folk normally buy this stuff or are they blided by the SALE signs?
The retailers must be laughing shifting the crap and selling the decent stuf at retail!

Where I am, shops are closed for 4 days. Only places open are cafes/restaurants/bars. Everyone is out socialising, nothing about shopping on any of the TV channels here either. I think it's only UK "culture" to miss out on all of the real Christmas events/celebrations.paddyhasneeds said:
