Where to buy decent shoes on the highstreet?

I'm after some decent work shoes, and was hoping to find some in the sales - thinking Church, Loakes, or similar.

Tried Debenhams briefly, which was a mistake. Anywhere good to head on the high street, apart from John Lewis?

Just bought some half price Church's in Austin Reed, which I didn't even know sold shoes.. they had a good selection, although this was on Regent Street.
