As in Educational Maintenance Allowance? I used to receive it, think the bonuses were in January,and July time?

EMA is Education Maintenance Allowance smile

I dont have any exams as my course is vocational.

If i remember from a few years ago, I got mine mid January and just before I left school in late June.

Household earn less than 30k, and your kid gets EMA (assuming he goes to school and attends lessons) £30 a week. With bonuses handed out twice in the year to 'reward' the child for going to lessons and doing well.

Its a fking joke, one of my mates is only doing one a-level and he's getting £30 a week EMA, whereas im doing maths, physics and IT and i get sod all! My house is only just over the money limit aswell so its a bloody joke! Just because my parents earn over X amount doesn't mean they're going to give me £30 a week! fking government. Stupid system.

Half-arsed hungover rant over.
