Middle names - what and why?

Am always fascinated (it doesn't take much) by middle names. What is (are) yours and why?

I'll start - maiden names of my grandmother on mothers side and mother which makes mine, Napier and Hamilton.

Andrew. Dad's name was Andrew. Evidently, parents were devoid of inspiration that day.

Winston, because my mother was a fan of Mr. Churchill (I was born in 1954). The wife now says only dogs and black men are called Winston.

fking hated it growing up for all the pisstaking it got me... Learned to absolutely love it (Stan became a bit of a nickname) and, as it was my Granddad's first name, it makes me extremely happy and proud now.

Haven't got one - but i don't lose sleep over it as I've never understood why you would want a name thats never used.

Mines been used often, whenever my Mum is in a bad mood with me I'm referred to by first and middle name, not just the first one.

Mine is "Brunel" - no, seriously - IKB was an ancestor so like to keep name in family.

Both my children are girls, so thanks to having B for a surname, I managed to make my second child's initials IKB to try and keep it going... ;-)

No idea why I've got two! I think John Ayres was the guy that started the family business in 1888. Genealogy's not my thing though really.

Same as the aforementioned biblical reference. As far as I know, anyway, my first name was in honour of my mum's brother, but I don't know of any Davids in the family.

Leslie. It's my Dads middle name and his Dads before him. Not sure if it goes any further and, unfortunately, it won't be carrying on.
As posted before, i hated it when i was younger due to the constant piss taking but i kinda like it now.
