Have just unboxed it and and currently annoying the feck out of my colleagues...

Just how hard is it to land a fking railslide??? This takes me back to the days when i used to skate all the time. I give it 15 minutes before the usual happens. And i launch my board into the scenery

How does it work? Genuinely curious - is the board windup or something?

I remember these from school. Never did see the facination of them though.

I'd rather have a good ol' yoyo.

Erm... no... nothing that clever i'm afraid!

It's all in the technique. You can ollie (jump) the board by using index & middle fingers as front and rear 'legs'. From there you can flip it, do 180/360 spins etc. by applying pressure to differing areas. It works much like a real skateboard. 'cept i'm too big

So that means i have fallen off it, ended up with the board across the other side of the office and thrown a huge tantrum 'cos i can't land a railslide

I'm still none the wiser as to the "scoring", so to speak. Maybe I spent too many years playing Operation and that "wind your prong around the metal loop" thing at fairgrounds

Yep, more just a feeling of getting it back on the deck (my desk!) with it on the wheels and both fingers back on it... As opposed to flinging it across the office and spending 10 minutes looking for the bloody thing. I'd imagine
