quick (prob numpty!) sky/freeview question
Discussion
My son had a new TV for xmas to play ps3 on in his bedroom, It comes with a freeview receiver built in, but here is my problem we do not have an aeriel on the house only a sky dish.
Can I convert sky cable ( co-ax?) to a normal aerial cable so that his freeview will work?
Really sorry if this is a complete numpty question but its not my field !
Thanks
Simon

Does the room have a sky cable already in there? If so you could buy a freesat box.
Stick the cable in and hey presto, freeview without any new cables. Also I'm assuming the tv your boy has is HD so you could get an HD freesat box, which is something freeview doesn't yet offer.
yes the cable is already there, so freesat will work off the sky dish?Stick the cable in and hey presto, freeview without any new cables. Also I'm assuming the tv your boy has is HD so you could get an HD freesat box, which is something freeview doesn't yet offer.

Buy the box, one of payment. No subscription, and get sky or sky hd quality pictures & sound.
the freesat+ hd is quite expensive however!
do some research before being swayed.

You may only have a dual lnb ...The thing that points at the dish. If thats the case and youre using both feeds for Sky plus you'll need to get a quad lnb to feed into the other room. Freesat HD boxes from Humax are around £149.00 but I do know there are some crappy Goodmans tat around a lot cheaper. If you dont want HD then just go for the SD version.
