Eltax Monitor 3 - any good?
Discussion
As below:
Probably the wrong place to post this, but thinking of buying a set as im building a system for the dining room using a few odds and ends I have sitting around, and I need a set of speakers.
have heard some good things about these, but is there anything better out there for the price? (£69.95 in Richer Sounds)

I bought some of these (for £69.99) about 6 years ago from Richer Sounds. They are good for the money, however I changed from these to a set of B&W 601 speakers (were £80 off ebay) and the difference is astounding.
At that price personally I would go second hand.
Ill have a wee look on ebay then. Although is it not a bit hit or miss buying second hand speakers? You never know how hard the previous owner has used them..At that price personally I would go second hand.

It is worth noting that having bought the Monitor III's for £70, using them for 6 years, then putting them back on ebay they sold (in full working condition of course) for £45! Not bad at all.
