It's one of those films that I had no interest in watching, but after seeing it I think it's a great film biggrin

A great movie; I'd thoroughly recommend it if you've not seen it. That said, I have seen it quite recently so I probably won't watch it this time around.

I know this is a stupid question but - whats it about ??!!

I take it its about an Indian and as this is a motoring site somehow car related ??

Is he trying to be an F1 driver/Champ car driver/Rally driver/Gumball rally entrant/Bollywood remake of Smokey and the Bandit ??!!

The 'Indian' is a motorcycle. I believe they were competition for Harley, but long gone now.

As humorous as I can imagine a lot of those would be, the Indian in question is an old motorbike marque, hence the film is about one old boys dream of getting his highly modified example over to the Utah Salt Flats and doing a speed run.

It had me welling up with a big lump in my throat at the end.

Edit: Beaten to it. boxedin

Iplayer doesn't show films.

It is however a very very good movie and well worth hiring if you miss it.

It's one of the best 'petrol head' films I've ever seen, quite simply superb and definitely not to be missed. OK, so it's about a motorcycle obsessed Kiwi, but it's one helluva based-on-fact story.
