Perhaps of more relevance to PH: I left a 2 litre bottle of lemonade on the back seat of my car after a shopping trip. When I opened the car the next day there was a smouldering hole in the leather under the bottle - the sun had been focused by the liquid.

I'm very glad that upholstery is fire retardant - would have lost the car otherwise.
