Best Wellies

Following on from the Best Toaster thread, I'd just like to put out a big thumbs up for some wellies I just purchased.

Hunter Balmoral Neoprene - eye wateringly expensive, but (to sound like Vicky Pollard) "oh mah god" - they are surely the Rolls Royce of Wellies. Supremely comfy, warm, indestructible.

You think they're expensive. The gents outfitters in our village/town has a pair of wellies at a sale price of £195 They're green, have a strap around the top, and as far as I can tell are made of rubber.

I borrowed my O/H's Hunter wellies when I went away with work. They were a couple of sizes too big for me (I had left it to late to buy my own) but they were still very comfortable. I am just about to buy some for myself, in red

Aigle...i find they fit better around the ankle

I looked at Hunters, but ended up plumping for a pair of Aigle boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.

Le Chameau leather-lined full zip all the way for me.

Tried them all at some point, Hunter, Aigle etc, but once you've tried Le Chameau nothing comes close...

Whats wrong with some boggo dunlop type that cost £5.99 and you throw them away every year rather than store them for summer, better spending your money on decent boot socks to wear in them .

From the same argument - why bother with a Range Rover when a Hilux Pickup will do????
