I'm going to New York with the family in February, and seeing as it is all my wifes big project to organise, I've been gently persuading her it might be an idea to book the flights at least a short while before we want to leave. I told her in November, and she said she'd leave it to see if the prices go down. I told her a few weeks ago, and she said she'd be right on it. I told her yesterday, and she said she'd leave it until New Year as they might go down in price. (Is it a woman thing???)

Now I'm pretty certain airlines never drop prices, merely raise them at the drop of a hat, the slightest excuse, so, will I be able to give her a big NA NA NANANA NA tomorrow when they go up 30%?

ps. I'm paying for the tickets, not her. frown She merely has to get her finger out and book them while I'm away at work.

Thanks, but even the BA sales price costs £40 more than Delta, from Manchester. frown

Oh well, I never let her test the system, as I bought five tickets on-line before the new year started, MAN-JFK. US$2349

Should be about £290 each, depending on how my HSBC card screws me on the exchange rate.

All I need to do now is write my wish list for Speedway motors and Summit Racing. yes

I just got an email from Expedia offering me £239 return to New York, book soon and all that so the cheap flights seem to be still out there!
