really? thats a surprise, he's usually brilliant... but I like the random stand-ups like Ross Noble.

I got this for xmas and having loved the previous stuff he did was all set for a good night.

Didn't enjoy it that much however and ended up fast forwarding some bits...

Anyone recommend where I can find some of his better material?

I went to see it live, it was very, very good. I haven't yet seen the DVD, but my friend said that it misses out most of the best parts of the show, which is a shame.

Part Troll is genius though, watched it so many times!

The extras were funnier than the main show, which was poor compared to his earlier stuff. Too much emphasis was placed on the expensive presentation and not enough on the basic story telling and ditties

Nowhere near as good as the above mentioned laminated book of dreams, but the tattoos bit made me laugh out loud.

agreed that bit did make laugh but the rest of it was just way to oddball and random, it's a shame as his earlier stuff was really good.

His very early stuff was actually extremely random and oddball. I can't remember the earliest live show he released on DVD, but it was pretty strange comedy and I didn't find it that good. The next couple of DVDs where he turned down the randomness a bit were actually far better. Sounds a bit like he's gone back to his roots with Tinselworm.

I think that was Cosmic Jam. Not my personal favourite but I still laughed the first time I watched it. Still go to watch Tinselworm, got the DVD for Christmas but CSI grabbed my attention first.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I like the randomness. Bit more of an edge to this one I thought.
