Any other PHers coming along?

I'm picking up my new car in the morning, but should be back in time!

Not a chance, even if I lived in London.

Hmm, me thinks this will be the least popular event ever advertised on PH.

Thanks for the heads up! Might be just enough time to organise a counter demonstration.

What surprises me is that there are some that think that either side can claim the morale high ground on this one.

I can't stand the pro Palestine, anti Israel stance of the press in this country. From watching the news you'd think the Palestinians were completely innocent and don't commit any wrongs, even though it was them who ended the peace treaty by starting to fire rocketing into Israel again.

Good idea mate. You'll no longer be number, you'll be 'known'.

And no. Let them fix their own problems. I've got a washing machine to stabilise.

Wasn't it 8 days of rocket attacks until Israel retaliated?

Would these be the same Palestinians who were out on the streets partying when 911 happened?

Perhaps you could help them by asking them which bit of 'Stop firing your home-made rockets into Israeli towns and we won't bomb the sh!t out of you' it is that they don't understand. . . . . . .

Something like that, but it barely got a mention. Once Israel started dropping a couple of bombs on the leaders, who were protected by human shields like hospitals and schools etc, they were all but accused of war crimes!

That's a great idea - a protest aimed at telling Hamas to fk off and allow the Palestinians who live in the Gaza strip make peace with Israel.

Then they could start to build a civilised society rapidly, fueled by the massive amount of financial and technical support and help that would flood into the area led by Israel.

It's another one of those threads that doesn't quite go like the OP was hoping it might.
