Hi chaps - bit of a random one here -

spoilt as we are in south west london with Richmond Park & Wimbledon Common - i was wondering if there are any other accessible open spaces that are within say 30 minutes of clapham junction?

or any other daytrip out of london places worth a visit?

cosy pub would be a considerable bonus too...

sorry for the boring Q - but i often find PH is invaluable for advice like this..

Virginia Water and Windsor Great Park are 1/2 hr on a good day.

North Downs;
Brighton for the seaside.


All easily accessible from CJ.

Painshill Park (J10 A3/M25)
Wisley (RHS) same junction
Thames towpaths
Surrey Hills (bit further but Leith Hill /Box Hill area etc)
