Daily supplements
Discussion
Out of interest, do you take anything on a daily basis whether it be prescribed medication or well-being health products?
I take an AD, fish oils and efferescent energy tablets. I'm also going to try out Ginkgo Biloba extract for concentration and memory.
The AD's help a hell of a lot obviously and I'd say the energy tablets are also noticeable.
I get really tired during the winter months - I'm sure it's a lack of vit D.

I was thinking about iron supplements. However, isn't iron in too much volume incredibly toxic for the body? Do you find the iron helps a lot?
I find it hard to say, I think they do help, although I notice a more tangible difference in my joints from the cod liver oil than any feeling of well being I get from the multivit + iron.I also think I gain more energy and well being from regularly taking exercise outside. I'm going to do a 5 mile run this afternoon and I can guarantee I'll be feeling really on the ball after that.

My OH is a Doctor, he takes truck loads of supplements and goes to the gym every second day, doesn't drink or smoke, eats really healthily.
He always has colds/bugs.
I take none of the above and drink + smoke (occasionally).
I have had one cold in the last year.
Fair point. Genetics obviously plays a big part. Also, being a doctor he's probably around a lot of sick people! He always has colds/bugs.

Where as you just post here all day.

Colds are horrible. I can't stand it when people think they've got flu when it's a common cold. However, that's for another thread...

I'm not on here that much really but I do get 'internet sickness' occasionally... I think my office environment is quite unhealthy... air con and open plan... the fat cakey admin ladies don't like the windows open. Urgh.
