Don't think it anything new. My old school in Blackpool for the last 3 or 4 years has been called 'Highfield Humanities College'. I think 'Highfield High School' sounds better.

Worst part of it is these idiots are supposed to be teaching kids, not changing names to make it "appealing" to truants. Just get on with your bloody job.
