Rotten Sunday Times Offer for F1....

Reading the paper today and see that the Times is offering a Silverstone three day package, all looks good except they're putting people up in the Park Inn, Walsall, Birmingham!!

I can't understand this at all, it's got to be at least 2 hours away from Silverstone (by coach on race/qually days), it's opposite the M6 freeway (noise all night), what F1 'vibe' will you get there? and it's in Walsall (sorry but I lived there for two years, it's a dump and WFC is rubbish).

Feel really sorry for people who book this not knowing anything about Walsall, surely Northampton has a couple of cheap decent places the Times could have booked instead seeing as it's 1.5 hours closer and will be full of F1 fans???

That's flipping outrageous, Walsall is not even close to Silverstone. I take it they atleast provide transport between hotel and track?

I think you'll find that everything in a 30-mile+ radius is booked solid for the GP weekend. My mate books two years in advance.
