I heard this on the MTV Dance channel when I was flicking around on Sky earlier today.

Blackout Crew - Put A Donk On It.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ckMvj1piK58

I can't summon up words which would adequately describe how much I hate this particular "song".

Judging by user reviews on iTunes some people think it is "sick" apparently.

Am I turning into a Meldrew-esk grumpy old man?

It's as genuine as, say, Ali G. On all levels.

As in, it's a pisstake, but people will still think it's good.

Respect.

This sort of stuff has been around since about 2000 and its all the same st. It's lazy music production. Take a track, put the same donk bassline under it and you've got a track the chav's will love.

Look for Wigan Pier for more similar ste, who've just put an album out too

Wigan Pier mix cd's/tapes have been floating around for years, back in my days of gurning listening to Hardhouse I listened to one, felt like someone was literally raping my ear. Stay well clear kids.

Somehow I get the feeling they aren't being 100% serious. At least it didn't make me want to slit my wrists as I do whenever the likes of Keane or Scouting for Girls come on

It's a piss take song and a funny one at that. Watching the video always makes me smile, so I guess it's done its job.
