Tube near new Malden?

Staying in Lambeth tonight and need to get to New Malden for 10am tomorrow morning. Is there a tube station anywhere nearby or would it just be New Malden Train Station? Also, is it even vaguely possible to consider using my car for this 11 mile trip?

Spare room has come up in Edgware. I'm guessing the best option is now the tube and train rather than drive

Yep, tube to Waterloo and then train it to New Malden. Takes about 20 mins on the train.

Wouldn't say it sucks. It's not good for the night life but is a nice enough place to bring up children in many of the areas.

New Malden station is pretty well served. Depending where you are going in New Malden, you could consider Motspur Park, Worcester Park, even Malden Manor if you are really unlucky.

New Malden station is pretty well served. Depending where you are going in New Malden, you could consider Motspur Park, Worcester Park, even Malden Manor if you are really unlucky.

Isn't there a Hilton in Chessington... and failing that, a Travelodge (or was it Travel Inn?)? About 10 minutes drive from New Malden.

There's a Travebodge at Tolworth, which I think is a couple hundred yards from Tolworth BR station, which is on the Chessington branch.

It's a long walk, short bus ride, or 5 minute drive from Kingston - if you want to go out and get a cap in yo ass. Or take the bus (57) or train (2 stops) to Wimbledon.

At least NM station is at the right end of town for the decent pub(s), theres also a couple of not bad Indians.
Should you have the misfortune of getting off at Malden Manor, do not under any circumstances venture into the Manor pub.

Haha, the Manor pub is what gave our local, The Plough, all the problems. The local feckless got barred from the Manor so they all ended up at the Plough. We moved on to the Worcester. But now we're stuck because the Huntsman is next and that really is a wooden clad dive. They couldn't be trusted, even by the cop shop 100 yards away, so they stuck a CCTV cam looking directly at the pub lol.

If you want to try a nice bar/pub, try the new(ish) Korean bar opposite Bar Malden. Its at the bottom of Apex tower and has an inviting black frontage that you won't notice unless you look directly at it.

How about tomorrow night? I'm just at Charlotte waiting for my connection. Thought the flight was 4pm, turns out it was 10am. Made for an interesting morning when i rolled out of bed at 830...

Oi i was dragged up on the Manor ! and was taught to drink in the Manor pub from an early age

Ok its a st hole now but when i grew up there years ago it was a proper place with proper people with a real community spirit
