Anybody had Dealings with Kleneeze or Betterware ?

Ex boss did it years ago, and you could tell by the way he talked at you. Have no idea what it's like nowadays, I thought the idea of door to door had pretty much gone.
Neighbour does Avon, more for the chats with the rest of the street than to earn any money.
You'd be better off with retail/bar work if you're after a bit of extra cash with no outlay

My parents used to do one of them and quite enjoyed it. Gave my father something to do in the evenings and it brought in a bit of extra cash for them when times were tough. I don't think they stopped for any bad reasons.Perhaps im not being very helpfull here as ive had no dealings with either,

I know someone who tried it - Kleeneze. You have to buy the books etc.. though as well, so if people don't give them back, you lose out each time. You don't make much money, the way to make money is basically to recruit hundreds of people, as you take a cut of their money as I understood it. I don't think that anyone who didn't start it about 10-20 years ago (whenever it first started) is really going to make that much..I used to do Kleeneze, the one thing I will say is that it is not a get rich quick scheme, you have to look at it like a business and run it as such, so it takes a lot of hard work and time while you build up your customer base, and then put work into making sure that out of all the others that come and go, your customer service makes you stand out (can get some damn loyal customers that way).
If you are wanting the serious money, then you have to look towards sponsoring others into the business, you then earn a percentage of their sales,
It can work, but don't expect to be rolling in it from week one, you really do have to put the work in.

Avon and Anne Summers stuff can be a little earner if you want it to be. You have to be a little ruthless, but you put the effort in, and the money does come out at the end - though robbing a bank would be quicker, easier and simpler in my view. I know a few people who have done these in the past and they are legitimate businesses that have the infrastructure and systems in place to help the people who do it - like party planning classes and training (that is where the money is on the AS front!).
Betterware? Bloody rubbish. Parents in law do it and they have a 22 year old Volvo and have the stickers advertising "earn £500 a week extra" stickers all over it. They admitted one drunken Christmas that they made £500 one month, but that was flat out all day from 9 to 8 every day and even then it was hard work. In the days where you can earn that at your local supermarket, I wonder if this is really the money spinner that they claim?
Avon and Anne Summers work because they have some small items for say £5 or so. But they have the gift packs and bulk purchase items that cost £15 or more. They also have the sell-on items which makes it easier for the party planner to sell more and more. Average sales per person at a party for example are like £50 or more. This is GOOD. With Betterware and Kleneeze you are talking a quid here and a fiver there - very difficult to make the numbers and you have to sell a hell of a lot to a lot of people to make any money at all. The numbers simply do not stack up.
Oh, and those supplements and slimming drugs people (forgotten the name) are just the same - so close to being a pyramid sales organisation to be on the permanent watch list, but just this side of legality to get away with it. Unfortunately, lots of people buy into it and it sustains the whole system. Amway is another one to stay clear of - so I am told.

quite funny really, because ive never acutally seen one filled in and left out, and ontop of that, sooo many are put out and never returned for so they just turn to mank.
seen 2 women arguing over "territories" before, had to sit and watch as both these 50-somethings almost come to blows hehehe

The local chap kept dropping them at my door. Wife spoke to him and asked him kindly to stop it. He continued. We started putting notes in them to say we would stop putting them back - in big bold letters. He still kept leaving them. We started throwing them in the bin. How many times can you warn someone?Did you know, with Betterware, you actually have to BUY the catalogues so that you can drop them at peoples doors? Yep, more of your supposed profit down the drain. Bet they make a profit on the printing though....
Find some lonely nutty people and they are cash cows ..... as the Betterware / Avon person did with a distant cousin of mine. 'Mad Mandy' died quiet young but when we cleared her house she had 1000s of panty pads (unopened like all of the following), videos, rubber spiders, and cosmetics ... lots and lots of cosmetics. A 3 bed semi full of this stuff. I bet the person selling her this tat really was laughing all the way to the bank.
