Blair's a lieing bd who lied about Iraqs WMD.

He then got M15 to kill Dr David Kelly, the weapens expert and appointed the Labour man Lord Hutton to conduct an enquiry into it all, which was all swept under the carpet by the Labour supporting BBC & Sun Newspapers in time for the 2005 general election.

Bush presenting Blair with a Peace Medal is akin to Karren Mathews receiving a Child Services award from Joseph Fritzl.

Lib Dem Foreign affairs spokesman Edward Davey said: "Tony Blair should be spending next week helping to fix the mess in Gaza, not receiving an award for the biggest foreign policy disaster in recent history and his silence over Guantanamo Bay."

Liar perhaps, but in the example you gave, he did not. He was initially presented with "intelligence" that was deemed to demonstrate beyond reasonable doubt that Iraq had these weapons. This was UK intelligence and not US gathered info that was subsequently proved to be inaccurate. Influences out of his control dictated his choices from there on in.

Still a git though.

To be fair, we could definately assume Iraq had WMD's - both us and the Americans had sold them plenty for the Iran-Iraq war in the 80s. It was just a tad unfortunate we couldn't find the ones they hadn't used....
