It's brilliant. I saw it and immediately ordered the Firefly series it came from.

Serenity is indeed a good film, its a shame they did not make more with the Firefly series.

I've got Serenity and Firefly on DVD - both most enjoyable.

As much as I liked the general theme I didn't like the film that much because I feel it relied on the viewer knowing a lot more about each character from the Firefly series. I had never seen Firefly so found it a little taxing trying to give a st about any of the characters. Maybe I'll watch a bit of Firefly and then watch it again.

I dunno. I watched Serenity and enjoyed it before finding out about Firefly! I didn't get too much into the character development, though, I guess.

I'd never seen firefly, and really like sci-fi but this really passed me by.

Really could not see what the fuss was all about. It was OK but I could only imagine it was hyped up by a load of pre-pubescent kids who fancied some of the leads.

Nothing in there that you haven't already seen in 10 other films, and didn't engage with any of the characters. I was expecting to want to go back and see firefly too, but couldn't be bothered after seeing it. The only reason I saw it to the end was that I thought I must be missing something, or that the hype meant is should get better.

I filed it under: Disappointment.

Firefly passed me by but when Serenity came out I got hold of the series and watched that, and then the film. I largely found the series average but the film was totally excellent.

I really love Firefly, think its excellent. Serenity just seems like a long episode of Firefly. Its a darn shame they only ever filmed one series really but it does seem to be a bit of a marmite film/series, either you love it or your just not bothered.

I would say that anyone who is yet to see the film, watch Firefly first...it really helps you connect with the characters. Also during the series once you get to episode 6 or 7 the writing seems to get alot better so be patient and see it through to the end.

I personally watch all of Firefly and then serenity in a single sitting every couple of months or so biggrin

Just been watching it tonight.

Gave up.

Never seen Firefly so I was watching cold. Perhaps it would have been better withe a different director.

I met Morena Baccarin (Inara in Serenity & Firefly) in Milton Keynes when I was there to do some shopping a few months back, she was there for one of these film conventions things, I didn't realise who she was until later as I hadn't watched the series or film. She's very nice.

Found a photo someone posted on Flckr - that's her with the short hair in the blue top, with Michael Dorn (Worf - Star Trek) in the background.

Firefly was decent but watching Serenity after is awesome...Especially where Rive absolutley hammers all of those crazy cannibal things by herself...Now that was awesome.

Yep yep...Jewel Staite pre-Stargate, althought she's far hotter in SGA with her leather jacket on &
hair down thumbup

Holy...YOU GOT TO MEET INARA?!?! eekbow

...I don't like Sci-Fi, honest.
