Slipped on the ice this morning whilst scraping the car!

Having nearly gone over in the garden leaving the house, I was careful to walk slowly and take measured steps until inside the car.

Walking round the offside front corner to scrape the other side of the windscreen, turned whilst on my right foot, it shot from under me and I went down. Hard. Proper horizontal drop hands/arm first followed by my flailing legs and scraper.

Nothing broken, but see how people break legs so easily. Still at least nobody saw me!

Anybody else suffer worse? In view of others or at work even?

I was talking to the woman in the local shop today and she said that someone had come in and said that a woman fell/slipped over in Wilkinsons carpark and broke her hip, the Ambulance came to scrape her up!

Survived the deicing this morning, but the water I used had refrozen by the time I got home from work. Slid to within a couple of inches of the neighbour's car whilst trying to park in the admittedly tight courtyard...

I nearly stacked it on some outside steps at Ikea, trying to get down to the car park.

Fortunately, my Ninja like reactions stopped me stacking it properly.

The steps didn't even lead to the car park

It was quite funny actually, after the initial shock hitting the ground in a way not meant. I was chuckling about how it might have looked on a you tube video!

Nearly slipped on my way to my car after work this afternoon, just managed to regain my balance. Very grateful since two managers were walking behind me and a few colleagues were walking ahead of me so I would have been thoroughly embarassed.

I fell out of my car a while back, opened the door one foot in the footwell getting in just about to sit down and my other foot on the outside of the car lost it and i came tumbling out after it

it was apparently fking hilarious for all my mates in the Sixth Form carpark

Roads are as dodgy as feck out there at the moment. One minute they seem OK, the next minute your pulling a Phil Cool expression and fighting with the steering wheel.

My OH had the dogs in the garden, and got them sparked up to play, but forgot that the larger hound was on the long line. Cue a scene from You've Been Framed as the dog went hurtling along, the lead got to the end, and my OH went airborne, face first into the rather hard ground...And then slid along a few feet until the mutt noticed what he'd done and came running back !!!

It was only me who got to see it, how I wish I'd had my camera. BUT scraping the snow off the car yesterday I went for a little dance along the drive as I hit some slightly icy stuff... No-one saw me though...

I used to cycle to work and on the ride there were numerous uphill, downhill, tricky sections.

After winding myself for about the 5th time, landing on my right elbow with every fall and generally getting royally beaten up, I locked it to someones fence and got the bus

Dear Gordon, if we all by V8s (or V12s for those that already have them - or W16s for those that have V12s) then you will save money on gritting the roads.
