Anyone else see the news at the weekend? The BBC reporting on the government’s new advertising campaign as 208% of all children everywhere are going to be obese by a week next Tuesday?
Not only is the BBC showing an advert, albeit under the guise of “news”, but I then happened to see that advert yesterday, what a crock of s
t! They have the nerve to suggest that because we are no longer hunter gatherers that we are all fat and going to die, but the bit that really gets my goat is that, when the plasticine people are being ferried around, its in a “comfy car” and a “more comfy bus”!!
More comfy bus? When by the beard of Jesus has a fking bus ever been more comfy than a fking car?? I remember when I was picked up from school in my Mum’s then brand new bright red Austin Allegro with the red vinyl seats on a hot summer’s day after the car had been sitting in the sun all fking day and it was still more comfortable than sitting next to a drunk fking wino who stinks of sick!
Its subliminal advertising at its worst and the advert should be pulled. Brown you utter.
