I was just wondering what everyone would do if they had a week off. I'm in this situation at the moment where next week I have to take the week off of work because I carried over too much holiday from last year. The OH doesn't have the week off and so its just me on my own. The one option is to sit at home and do the usual things I do, xbox, tv, read. But I did that over christmas.

What I have chosen to do is go to Salzburg for a few days on my own, because on ryanair its megacheap and last I checked, Salzburg is prettier than my flat.

In an ideal world I'd do something to my car in my garage, but as I have no car or garage at the moment, that idea is out.

But what would you do if you had a week on your own?

Clear out the blocked guttering
Clear the ton of moss that has grown on my patio
Finish decorating the spare room
Weed the front garden
Clean and vacuum the car
Give the bathroom ceiling a coat of paint
Treat said bathroom to a top to bottom jiffing/cilit banging/other generic cleaner
Sort out the mouldy grouting in the kitchen
Finish the slabbing on my driveway
Sweep the loft out (no underfelt you see)
Maybe do a big food shop
Nip into town and see if I can find some new clobber
Replace the broken fence panel in the back garden

Is that enough for a week? rolleyes

I was in a similar situation this time last year, I spent the week visiting various motoring and aeroplane museums I'd be meaning to get to but hadn't got around to.

Im in a similar situation and have decided to go to Budapest for 5 nights. I fancied America but the 8+ hours of flying put me off. You can go anywhere in Europe with a week. If your into history how about a road trip from England - Poland and see Aushwitz? (spelling) taking in France, Germany, Check repulic. PP.

Why not go skiing?

NEC this weekend.
Then you have the H Cup games coming up.

Also its an ideal time to get your finances sorted out i.e.specifically all the data/documents/supporting documents for your self assesment form.
Sell junk on ebay

Last but not least - reformat your PC. I mean full reboot take off all the applications back to bios and then reinstall the Operating system & applications - works far quicker & clears all the p*rn

Plan what your going to do on Feb14th & her birthday - get it all planned. Visit family.

I would finish off rebuilding the engine in my little car, or maybe sod the engine and lie in, watch TV, surf the internet and drink beer all day (it is cold outside).

Going skiing next month so don't want to spend much in my week off, so staying in a hostel and will eat bread and drink beer/water while I'm there. One day I'm sure I'll own a house and car which needs fixing/breaking/repairing/enhancing/supercharging, but until then I'll just take some awesome pictures of mountains and Mozart.
